Hey Kyle,

I just wanted to drop you a note to let you know that your website is entertaining and quite enjoyable. I have to say that I’m pretty jealous of your lifestyle and will be living vicariously through your posts on here! Please keep up the great work!

Hi Bob,

Sorry to just get back to you now, and hopefully this info reaches you before you take off for your trip. Personally I like the South of Vietnam better, particularly the town of Mui Ne. For history, the war museum in HCMC and visiting the tunnels is a pretty powerful experience, and there are all sorts of relics from “the American War” as you travel up the coast. The overnight sleeper buses aren’t bad and are good for maximixing your time (get somewhere while you’re sleeping!), although I’d be wary of riding your own motorbike in the city. In places like Hue you can hire a private motorbike guide for the day who will give you a personal tour on his bike of a number of historical and cultural sites. The cost should be around $10-$15. While I’m not a big fan of Hanoi, the hill tribes area around Sapa is where you’ll find a lot of culture in the North, and while Halong Bay is visually stunning, you get what you pay for when it comes to booking a tour. Hoi An is another great town on the central coast that has a good amount of culture, and feel free to be in touch with any more specific questions. Thanks for reading, and have a fantastic journey!

Aloha!! I am currently living in NJ and have visited Maui about 9 times in the past 4 years! I have visited Kaua’i, Lana’i, Big Island, and Maui…and I have spent three summers on Maui, working at Totally Hawaiian in Whaler’s Village. My sister and I will be back on Maui in a week over our Easter break from teaching. I would like to buy your book when I arrive on Maui. How can I go about this? Thanks! Ann-Marie 🙂

Hey Kyle I am a white male aged 23 I have a passion for adventure but am living a very mundane life . I feel there is more to life than what I am doing currently . I would like to leave the states in search of something more but I am not sure where to start any advice would be greatly appreciated . I would like to travel somewhere WARM . I am a lover of tropical environments I think maybe Australia or New Zeland would be a good fit for me. I am not set o just these though I would love your input if you have any other ideas . Big fan thanks for what you do
