Kyle the Vagabond’s Top Ten Travel Moments of 2011

kohchang

As 2011 comes to a close, I look back on what has been an active year of travel and a productive year of furthering my profession as a travel blogger and journalist. In sum, 2011 was comprised of:

12 countries (Philippines, Luxembourg, Belgium, Hong Kong, Nepal, Ireland, Cambodia, France, Thailand, Spain, Netherlands, New Zealand)

14 US states (Washington, Oregon, California, Hawaii, Nevada, Utah, Colorado, New Mexico, Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia, North Carolina)

53,000 miles flown

60 published articles

While there were many fantastic travel moments in 2011 that didn’t make this list (eating cajun gumbo in New Orleans, strolling Vondel Park in Amsterdam, sangria and tapas in Barcelona), here is a list of some of my favorite travel moments of 2011. Thank you all for your dedicated readership, and here’s to an adventurous and travel filled 2012!

So what am I going to do in 2012 which could possibly top this year? Who knows? Maybe swim with whale sharks in Baja? Go to a country where I can’t speak the language? Maybe just start a night somewhere by having a few drinks and finishing it by booking flights to Barbados. Whatever 2012 ends up bringing, I sure do look forward to another 365 days of adventure, exploration, and seeing all the great places that this world continuously offers.

Talk about the good life sir and madam. I just booked some flights to Brazil, so I thought I would check out your site and see what’s cooking. I’m actually going down with Emac. It’s his first time down south of the border, so I’m sure we’ll get into some good trouble and fun at the same time.

Hopefully our paths cross as often as they did in 2011! Looking forward to kicking some butt in 2012!

Take care bro and sis and I will talk to you all soon!
